Permitted editorial use

Licensing can be provided for:

  • Editorial web (news articles, match reports, live blogs)
  • Print (newspaper/magazine)
  • Social (editorial promotion of the article/gallery)
  • Club/editorial comms (match preview/recap) subject to agreement


Commercial / promotional use
Commercial, sponsored, or advertising usage (including paid social) is available by separate agreement. Please specify campaign, channels, territory, and duration.



Not permitted without written permission

  • Re-sale, sub-licensing, or sharing with third parties
  • Advertising / sponsored / paid social use without a separate commercial licence
  • Removing or obscuring the credit, watermark, or metadata
  • Altering the image in a way that misrepresents the event (heavy manipulation, compositing)
  • AI training / dataset use (unless explicitly agreed)
  • No implied endorsement
    Use of images must not imply player, club, or league endorsement of any product or service.


Credit line

Unless agreed otherwise, images must be credited as:

If multiple photographers are present, credit must match the supplied credit field and must not be replaced with a generic outlet credit.

If space allows (print), you may use:

Captions & metadata

Captions follow an agency/DataCo-style structure (location + date + competition + fixture context + subject identification + action).
Where confirmed, names are included (players/coaches/officials). Credit and caption are embedded in metadata for editorial workflows.


How to request a licence (what to include)

To receive availability, pricing, and delivery quickly, please include:

  • Fixture + date + venue
  • Outlet / publication / client
  • Usage (web / print / social / other)
  • Territory (UK / worldwide) + duration
  • Deadline
  • Any access/accreditation requirements (if applicable)


Delivery

  • Curated selection supplied in a consistent sequence (setup → action → key moments).
  • Web delivery and download options available on request.
  • Turnaround depends on kick-off time and travel (same-day/next-day where possible).
